Guarantee Your Legal Compliance

Our dedicated environmental compliance team know the ins and outs of all the latest, and upcoming, legislation surrounding the management of waste in SMEs in England and Wales.

We work closely with you to monitor all of the waste you produce to create a customised waste management plan. This will identify and measure the amount of different waste materials you produce; and determine the relevant legislation based on your business location, like region-specific legislation, and operations or industry, like the Packaging Producer legislation.

Our bespoke waste treatment solutions take the hassle out of compliance. From creating a convenient collection schedule to enabling on-site sorting and disposal, we handle the rest so you can focus on your operations. Once collected, your waste is processed and either recycled or disposed of safely, in line with the highest environmental standards and UK regulatory requirements.

We then provide your business with all the necessary documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, Consignment Notes for hazardous materials, End Destination Reports, and compliance certificates, comprehensively prepared for UK audits.

You can explore all of our national and international accreditations for quality, environment and health and safety (including BS EN ISO 9001:2015, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 and BS EN ISO 45001:2018) on the Parry & Evans Compliance Page.

Total Waste Management Process

Want to know more about how our Total Waste Management works at Parry & Evans? Below, we’ve outlined each step, showing how we help your business reduce waste, streamline storage and collection, and ensure efficient processing – all while saving you time, reducing costs, and achieving legal compliance and sustainability goals.

Total Waste Management Audit

Your dedicated waste management expert will assess your waste output and review your current practices to provide actionable recommendations tailored to help reduce waste production and optimise waste.

Creation of Waste Management Solutions & Training

Upon completing a site evaluation, your dedicated waste management expert will create and propose your bespoke waste management strategy. This will include breakdowns of waste streams, planning of waste management containers and site positioning, collection schedules and on-site staff training.

Implementation of Waste Management Strategy

Collaborating with you and your team, your business’s unique waste management solution will be refined and finalised. Next, our team will deliver and position your waste storage containers, from wheelie bins to skips, to begin collecting your commercial waste.

As all waste streams and materials are weighed and recorded in the next step, along with ongoing measurements of waste production within your business, our total waste management strategies are continuously optimised to provide you with the most efficient waste management plan.

Waste Collection, Management & Processing

Following the schedule included in your total waste management plan, one or more of our 30+ fleet vehicles will visit your site to collect your commercial waste. All materials that enter Parry & Evans specialist recycling centres, or any of our commercial partners sites, are weighed, measured and recorded.

The materials are then separated (if required) and processed for recycling with maximal efficiency. You can find out more about how we process different materials (Paper, Cardboard, Wood, Glass, Metal, Plastic and Plastic Granulation) and our commercial partners for specialist streams like hazardous waste below.

Creation & Issuing of Documentation

The final step includes the Parry & Evans team creating and providing your business with all necessary documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, Consignment Notes, licenses and permits, Duty of Care audit records, staff training certifications, and comprehensive waste reports.

Managed by our environmental regulations experts, we guarantee full compliance with all of the latest and new UK government recycling regulations.

Simpler Recycling for Businesses in England & Wales

Starting on the 31st of March 2015 ALL businesses in England (including schools and hospitals) are legally required to comply with NEW government recycling regulations for waste disposal and collection. These regulations have already come into effect in Wales as of 6 April 2024, requiring all workplaces to separate their waste for recycling.

Our Total Waste Management Partners

Want to know more about how our Total Waste Management works at Parry & Evans? Below, we’ve outlined each step, showing how we help your business reduce waste, streamline storage and collection, and ensure efficient processing – all while saving you time, reducing costs, and achieving legal compliance and sustainability goals.

Commercial food waste can go through the process of Anaerobic Digestion to create renewable energy that feeds the national grid, and nutrient-rich biofertiliser to enhance food crop growth.

The process of anaerobic digestion requires specialist technology to maximise efficiency and the output of renewable resources. That’s why we partner with dedicated food waste specialists who handle everything from weekly 240L food bin collections to large-scale food waste management, as part of a comprehensive total waste management contract.

To ensure safety and regulatory compliance, businesses in the UK are required to dispose of hazardous waste with full traceability and compliance documentation. Hazardous waste materials include but are not limited to chemicals, batteries, and electronic waste. All of these require specialised treatment and disposal methods to ensure personal safety, environmental compliance, and minimal impact on the environment.

We work closely with licensed hazardous waste handlers around the UK to ensure that your business’s hazardous materials are managed responsibly and safely as part of your total waste management. Including full traceability documentation for business and environmental regulation compliance.

Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment is commonly referred to by its abbreviation of ‘WEEE’ or E-waste and includes a wide variety of discarded electrical devices and components, such as computers, mobile phones, household appliances, televisions, and other electronic items.

WEEE or E-waste typically contain a complex mixture of materials (some hazardous) that can cause environmental or health issues if disposed of in general waste streams. In the UK, all businesses are required to ensure the safe disposal of all e-waste under the WEEE 2013 regulations. These regulations ensure the safe disposal of hazardous materials in addition to the recovery of valuable components or materials that can be reused and contribute to a circular economy.

At Parry & Evans, we work with trusted partners to ensure the safe and efficient disposal of WEEE with the provision of waste transfer notes or consignment notes that detail the collection, transfer, and processing of WEEE to guarantee UK regulation compliance.
