A CASE STUDY

The Challenge

The client explained that their waste needed to be processed more locally due to transportation costs. They also wanted to reduce their carbon footprint and had a requirement for large reels of paper to be separated i.e., the paper separating from the cardboard core centers. They also required an accurate data reporting system.

Our Approach

Working with the company, our team provided a range of open top and compactor 40-yard skips via hook lift collection vehicles, in addition to curtain-sided trailer collections for waste such as cardboard, plastic film and mixed paper. We also developed a paper and core separating system to enable both waste streams to be recycled.

Waste was delivered into our facility at Deeside, where the segregated waste streams were baled for onward transportation to reprocessing mills. The materials were recycled and reprocessed back into the manufacturing industry.

We provided a weekly report to the company detailing all waste movements, including date of movements plus weight of waste. We also provided an End destination report detailing the reprocessing mill and new life product.
