Recycling Services

At Parry & Evans, we strive to achieve zero-waste-to-landfill and are committed to finding alternative solutions to gain value from general waste.

Residual waste that cannot be recycled is brought into the depot and inspected via quality control. Using state-of-the-art technology, our experienced team can recover value from this waste in the form of energy.

At Parry & Evans, we provide a thorough, effective and environmentally friendly paper collection and recycling service tailored to meet your needs.

Mixed papers are collected and brought into the depot in loose or baled forms and inspected by quality control before being placed into relevant sorting bays. Paper is sorted using optical and manual sorting systems and baled into mill sized bales to ensure we achieve the grades our customers require.

If your company is creating a large amount of cardboard waste, Parry & Evans can provide an environmentally friendly waste management service to meet your needs.

After your waste collection, cardboard is sorted and baled using our automated and manual sorting systems to achieve the grades customers require for recycling. Cardboard enters the depot in both loose and baled forms where it is inspected by quality control before being placed into designated areas for sorting or loading out. Cardboards are graded into different grades e.g. 95/5 & 80/20.

Our specialist equipment can separate residual paper on a reel from the cardboard core – allowing paper and card to be fully recycled.

Millions of tonnes of waste wood are generated in the UK each year from businesses and Local Authorities.

At Parry & Evans, we are committed to ensuring that all of the wood we receive is re-used, recycled or recovered and moved as high up the waste hierarchy as possible.

  • Re-usable pallets are used by us, returned to customers or sold to specialist pallet refurbishment companies.
  • Broken pallets and other wooden packaging are broken up and sent for recovery as animal bedding or biomass.

Loose wood is brought into the depot, tipped into a holding bay and inspected by quality control before being shredded into a closed off bay for loading out. Any metal is removed by magnetic belts.

At Parry & Evans, we handle waste metal from a variety of organisations and our experienced team can collect and sort your waste metal materials for recycling ensuring you comply with current legislation.

Entering our depot, metal is extracted from co-mingled waste streams via magnetic belts and manual sorting processes. Metals undertake a strict quality check-up before being loaded onto bulkers for further sorting.

  • Steel cans are extracted using a magnetic separator and baled before being sent for recycling.
  • Aluminium cans are separated via a vibrating table and the cans are sold to specialist merchants.
  • Other metals: packaging bale wire etc. are collected and sent for recycling.

At Parry & Evans, we sort and shred plastic on site including Film, LDPE, HDPE, PET, PP, Laminates, Polystyrene (PS) and Expandable Polystyrene (EPS). Arriving at the depot in baled or loose forms, plastic is inspected by quality control before being sorted further (if required) and re-baled.

Some mixed grades and plastic are unsuitable for shredding and in this case, it is baled and sent for recovery to specialist plastic sorters prior to shredding or granulating for re-manufacture.

If you have plastic to dispose of and you want peace of mind that your plastic waste is being disposed of in an environmentally friendly way, talk to our team today.
